A plant in a garden ponders her life, idly wondering about the gardener who nurture's her, the humans who pass by, and the corpse tangled up in her roots. She has no responsibilities, no worries, except for one. She must name herself by All Hallow's Eve, but that should be simple, right?

My entry into the Secret Trans Writing Lair's 2024 fall bundle! Enjoy a story about a trans pumpkin and the nonbinary fae monster she falls in love with. They're very cute together, I think.
